What is the relationship between Moog FCS and Fokker Aircraft Company?
Moog FCS has a close historical connection to Fokker Aircraft. Fokker Control Systems (abbreviated FCS) was a Business Unit within Fokker Aircraft in the 1990s. In 1996, when Fokker Aircraft declared bankruptcy, a group of employees performed a management buy-out to obtain the shares for the business that FCS represented within Fokker Aircraft. This new company was named FCS Control Systems. Now FCS was no longer a legal abbreviation, as a Dutch industrial company (Stork) had purchased the rights to the Fokker name. The company kept the FCS name because throughout their long history the names Fokker Aircraft and FCS have stood for innovation, quality and customer focus in the testing and simulation industries worldwide.
FCS Control Systems flourished as a company through innovative products and strong service culture, always placing customer need as a top priority. The company grew quickly and was acquired in 2005 by Moog. The name Moog FCS represents all of the products and systems for simulation and testing that are designed, manufactured and sold worldwide in 25 countries.

In 2005, FCS Control Systems joined the Moog family, creating the name Moog FCS. The name Moog FCS was created to represent all of the products and systems for simulation and testing that are designed, manufactured and sold worldwide in 25 countries. Now the Fokker heritage and history is carried on through the Moog organization.
